Finally, a gentle soap that leaves your skin soft, nourished, and naturally radiant. Crafted with science-backed, plant-based ingredients.

Most body washes rely on harsh detergents that strip your skin’s natural oils. To counteract dryness and tightness, they add conditioners and emulsifiers—but these can leave a buildup that feels heavy, clogged, and causes irritation, leading to breakouts and redness.

Most soaps, on the other hand, are made with inexpensive ingredients focused on cost and shelf life rather than skin health. They often remove natural glycerin during processing, which leaves your skin dry and stripped of moisture.

At Cotton Bubble Soap, we do things differently. Our gentle, plant-based soaps are handcrafted in California using premium oils like extra virgin olive oil and organic virgin coconut oil. By retaining natural glycerin and avoiding harsh chemicals and preservatives, each bar nourishes your skin, keeping it soft, balanced, and hydrated especially for sensitive skin.

Plus, our soaps create a rich, luxurious lather that brings you a spa-like experience!

Frequently Asked Questions

Is your soap all natural?

Yes — our soaps are made with plant-based, natural ingredients like olive, coconut, shea, and castor oils, along with clays, botanicals, and essential oils. Each bar is thoughtfully formulated to be gentle, nourishing, and safe for sensitive skin.

Some of our soaps include cosmetic-grade colorants, such as micas and mineral pigments, to add soft, eye-catching colors. These colorants are naturally derived or nature-identical — often made from purified minerals or earth-based materials — and are approved for use on skin. We choose them carefully to ensure they are free from heavy metals, non-toxic, and ethically sourced whenever possible.

We use these colorants sparingly, just enough to enhance the visual appeal without affecting the soap’s mildness or integrity. And as always, we never use synthetic dyes, harsh preservatives, or detergents in any of our soaps.

How fast is the shipping?

The orders will be shipped within 1-3 business days.

Any pre-sale items will take about 1-4 weeks of production time before they are ready to be shipped. Our cold-processed soaps require 4 weeks of curing time for them to become mild, nourishing, and fully dried. Thank you for your patience.

 What's the exchange/refund policy?

Please kindly check out our Refund & Shipping policy link at the bottom of the page. If you'd like your order modified BEFORE the shipping, please contact customer support at cottonbubblesoap@gmail.com, and we would be happy to assist you. :)

What’s the difference between your facial soaps and hand soaps? Can they be used as shower bars too?

All of our soaps can be used on the face, hands, and body because they share the same gentle, plant-based base made from nourishing oils like olive, coconut, shea, and castor.

The facial soaps have special ingredients—such as rose clay, oatmeal, charcoal, turmeric, or carrot juice—to provide extra benefits tailored for delicate facial skin, like soothing, detoxifying, and nourishing effects.

Our hand and body soaps use the same moisturizing base but are designed to bring more joy into your washing routine and elevate your self-care experience through beautiful scents, textures, and visual appeal.

And yes — every bar works wonderfully as a shower soap, so feel free to enjoy them all over your body, wherever you want a gentle, luxurious cleanse.

Isn’t 100% extra virgin olive oil better than refined olive oil? Why do you use a 50/50 blend?

Great question! While extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) is known for its rich nutrients and natural antioxidants, using 100% EVOO in soap can create some challenges—especially for artisan soapmakers like us who care deeply about both skin benefits and the final look, feel, and scent of each bar.

At Cotton Bubble Soap, we use a 50/50 blend of extra virgin and refined olive oil (specifically Kirkland’s blend with 15% EVOO and 85% refined) to get the best of both worlds:

EVOO is naturally conditioning and contains beneficial unsaponifiables that are great for the skin.

Pure EVOO can have a noticeable grassy scent that may overpower or interfere with the delicate fragrances or essential oils we want to highlight in our soaps.

100% EVOO can give the soap a yellowish, cookie dough-like color. Refined olive oil has a lighter tone, which allows the natural hues of clays, botanicals, and other ingredients to shine through.

Both versions of olive oil are rich in oleic acid, which means the blend still produces a creamy, mild lather ideal for sensitive skin.

By thoughtfully combining the two, we create bars that are not only skin-loving, but also beautifully balanced in scent, color, and consistency—true to what Cotton Bubble Soap stands for.

Why sustainable organic palm oil is part of our ingredients

Palm oil has gained a bad reputation due to large-scale deforestation and habitat loss linked to some suppliers. We understand these concerns deeply and want to be fully transparent about our approach.

At Cotton Bubble Soap, we only source sustainably certified palm oil from suppliers committed to responsible farming practices. This means no deforestation of primary forests or peatlands, protection of wildlife habitats and biodiversity, fair treatment of local communities and workers, and transparent traceability through certifications like RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) or equivalent.

While there are alternative oils and butters available, palm oil offers excellent skin-nourishing qualities and contributes to a balanced, stable lather and lasting hardness in soaps. Big brands often rely heavily on palm oil as their main ingredient, but we use only a small portion to enhance the benefits of other nourishing oils.

Even when using other oils, these ingredients are harvested through similar agricultural processes with environmental impacts. We believe responsibly sourced palm oil plays an important role in sustainable soapmaking, and we continuously review our suppliers to ensure the highest standards of environmental and social responsibility.
